Insurance Policies

COSA provides Liability Insurance to all Standardbred Owners, Drivers and Trainers at WEG Facilities and other licensed Ontario Racetracks.

Fire and Transportation Insurance is also provided by COSA. It covers all Standardbred Owners, Drivers and Trainers with additional Fire and Transportation Insurance while transporting a horse to and from a racetrack where the horse is entered to race or qualify.

COSA Benefits Program

COSA provides a Benefit program  to it’s members. To be eligible to enrol in the COSA Benefits Program, you MUST have the following:

Trainers and Drivers with a minimum of 24 starts at either of the WEG tracks in the prior calendar year;
Owners with a minimum of 12 starts at either of the WEG tracks in the prior calendar year;
Caretakers who are employed full-time by a trainer with a minimum of 24 starts at either of the WEG tracks in the prior calendar year.

You MUST also have:

>     Ontario address
>     OHIP card
>     Valid Standardbred Canada license
>     Valid ORC license

**Please Note: Benefit coverage and Travel Insurance Coverage are only available to grooms and members who have enrolled in the COSA Benefits Plan.
