Wellington County Premieres Documentary About Effects of Cancelling Slots At Racetracks–July 31 at Guelph’s Bookshelf

The County of Wellington has announced that it has created a five-minute documentary on the potential impacts cancelling the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.’s slots-at-racetracks program will have on both the horse-racing industry and Ontario’s local economies.

The county is inviting interested parties to join it for the big premiere. Details are listed below.

• Tuesday, July 31 • The Bookshelf Cinema, 41 Quebec Street in Guelph, Ont. • Doors open at 2:00 p.m. • Screening at 2:30 p.m.

Please RSVP to Andrea Ravensdale, by Monday, July 23 at 4:00 p.m., as there is limited seating in the theatre.

Thousands of jobs are at risk. Local economies are at risk. Horses are at risk. The county’s hope is that the Ontario Provincial Government will restore the successful slots-at-racetrack program.
